These are abandoned in South Wales. Who can identify what this is from.
It's taken quite a tumble into the bottom of a quarry and has been there for some time.
I take a punt on Audi but don't know which one, almost no body left to identify.
This one in slightly more intact condition slowly is vanishing under the shrubbery.

I used to live in Southend 20 odd years ago. Every kept woman in Leigh-on-Sea seemed to have one of those Figaros. I think there was a local importer who must have made a killing. I went back last year and they seem to be popular once again.
Yes, they were fairly popular in the area a while ago. There were two used car dealers in London Road who imported them. However as they were made in 1991 it seems that rust & old age has killed most. One of the dealers now specialises in small automatic cars and I think the other closed down. In fact lots of the London Road used car dealers have gone now, usually replaced by flats etc.I seldom see a Figaro in this part of Essex anymore, you must of been lucky or probably have better eyesight than me !

I'd agree with you - the VW cars (Golf, Passat) were transverse in layout whereas the 80 was longitudinal until the B3 of the mid 80's.
The era that engine was from the Passat had the same layout as the Audi 80 (longitudinal) right up to around 88 then transverse I just came across this one, the picture says:
anyhow, left to?

My uncle had a T80 Corona like that in Sri Lanka in the late 70's. It was a Japanese built car but badged "Toyopet". My dad used to drive it when we went on holiday there and he said it had the sweetest gearbox of any car he had driven!MantaMike said:
