And avert your eyes for the 1955 Jaguar XK40 "Royale" styled by some chap from San Jose.....

Bertone designed Jaguar FT

Bertone's 1977 Jaguar Ascot

You can easily see the beginnings on the 1980 Audi Coupé in that.

If you like Loewy's E-type,you'll love his take on a 1956 XK140.

Looks like an Allard humping a Daimler Dart
Loewy's work was the epitome of the curate's egg. But he could be REALLY good when it worked.
Do you think? I don't know. I've got his book 'Industrial Design' on my desk, and have had ever since I was student 30 years ago. He's certainly great at saying how great he is, not sure if I like much of his work. Most of the really iconic work of his era is done by other people, Dreyfuss and Dorwin Teague for example. IMO.

Hmm. That does resemble the offspring of a son and his mother, which is then smacked with a plank on every birthday. You can see the genetics but hideously distorted.

confused the picture is entitled BGT V8 Motor and it does look rather suspiciously like that is the case...

Twin SUs, MG rocker covers an in an MGB...

But what is it that we should be seeing with a v12?

Tony, have you started on the vin rouge a little early this fine day?

As above, this is a time honoured V8 from Abingdon. Any doubts, count the spark plugs...

It is a lovely day, the wine is fine, and my maths are the only thing in question. Well, that is apart from my mental state. I wonder if this is the photo I was seeking?

At the risk of once again fouling up
