Elan M100 - engine cut out, Will not start - Help

Hi all,
What a nice day yesterday was !!
Driving along 30ish when i changed into 4th gear suddenly no power/engine cut out, looked down to see engine management light on as well as battery,brake etc...
Car will cank over but will not start ?

Any ideals ??

Don't know the car - aren't they supposed to be teh reliable Lotuses that dont break

Seriously, try basic fault finding stuff - any spark, any fuel getting through etc. Sudden cut out is most likely to be something electrical so check for loose wires and connectors; loss of power first is more likely to be fuel related - blockage somewhere?

p.s. does it have an impact cut-out switch by any chance?
