Have seen that putting an Audi 1.8T lump into an Elise can cost around £10k?

Can that be right? Can anyone shed some light on why this costs so much? The engine itself isn't expensive...

Thanks

its all the odds and sods that you need/should do to the car when makeing a 300bhp+ monster. ecu, mapping, brakes, oil coolers the list goes on. Take a look at some of the type R sc for sale on hear to give you self a idear. If you are after a faster elise the type R is a good bet as they are more common etc etc. If you are a turbo man You might save money on tuning a VX220. That is just what I think. www.seloc.org is full of info and people that know alot more than me.
