So Lotus have a press conference booked early on the morning of day 1 of the motor show. Given I don't think you'd want to do a big presentation to show a facelifted car that you've already circulated to the press I'm guessing there is something else they want to show.
Some thoughts:
Some interesting technology coming out of Lotus Engineering, probably to do with lower emissions? (guess: quite possible)
A prototype hybrid or even electric version of a current car similar to the old biofuel Exige? If this route we could guess it would be based on the Evora given that Engineering are selling that platform as the basis of an electric vehicle
A concept / prototype of either the Esprit or convertible Evora? (Maybe too early even for Lotus's standards?)
Confirmation that they are going to take a greater official role with engineering of the F1 car?
The automatic Evora? (unless it is innovative I can't see this one as being exciting enough).
Anyone agree / disagree / think of anything else?

The facelift is an early April Fool and the new S3 will be unveiled.
Think I agree with dom180As I said before think there may be a bit of dis-information going on here. We all know that as of the end of the year the Tesla will not be available as they are changing the tooling in the factory and won't be able to supply the current chassis. Secondly the 2ZZ engine is coming to the end of production at Toyota/Yamaha so they might have the 1.6 to replace the current Elise S engine but nothing to replace the R and the S/C variants.
