M250 - will it be good?
Discussion
Hmmm.. I'm desperately keen to see the M250 out.
Lotus could do a lovely job - have done a perfect
job with the styling.
But will this car be good enough? I'd like
something that's good for occasional track days,
but can take me and my partner away for the
weekend in comfort. I'd also like something that
isn't about posing, but is about serious driving.
In other words, a 'mature Elise'. Am I thinking
differently from Lotus' marketing guys? Am I
thinking differently from other drivers?
If not, when is the flippin' car going to turn up?
(Yes, I know they're thinking about the US market,
but when they first announced it, they claimed
it would be in production by now). By the time it
arrives, what was a new and challenging technology
will be standard stuff. The Elise made the whole
industry sit up and take notice, at this rate the
M250 will be so much old news.
Oh, and the Noble M12 - looks lovely (apart from
the rear lights), but for that much money I
wouldn't want to sit with my bags under my knees.
But there again, I don't want a car just for track
days.
