Anyone know what level of involvement Lotus Motorsport will have? Great halo potential either way...

Litespeed is the actual team, just with naming rights to use "lotus" so lotus motorsports wont have much to do with it at all.

Malasian government is the main backer and mike gascoine tech director so they have some good foundations and financing in place!

This has nothing to do with Litespeed who did indeed own the rights to Team Lotus as a 'name'. However, this new effort has bought the rights, as mentioned in the BBC piece. I assume Litespeed's own efforts have bit the dust.

However, there is no confirmation about any involvement from Group Lotus and/or Lotus Cars, even if the initial base is only 10 miles from Hethel. But as the Malaysian Government own Proton and Proton own Lotus and with the new CEO being ex-Ferrari F1 type, I can see Group Lotus joining the party, if they haven't already.
