Elan M100 - replacement battery
Discussion
The battery on our Elan has been getting progressively worse, discharging after only a day or two since charging.
I picked up a replacement battery at CostCo - a nice Bosch Silver which the handy booklet said was suitable for the Elan M100
Only trouble is that once I got it home I noticed that the Lucus battery that is in there already is rated as 620A Cold Crank, whereas the new battery simply states 480A / 62 Ah.
So simple question - is the new battery up to the job?

This link is pretty informative. Seems that a 480 CCA battery is specified for the Elan SE but a 600 CCA is also specified.
So that would infer that the 480A stamped on my new battery is CCA.
However, since our Elan isn't used much in the winter and it doesn't take a lot of current to turn over a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine anyway, I reckon I'll just see how I go with this battery for now rather than taking it back for a refund etc etc.
Edit: Thanks for going to the effort of checking your battery for me though!
