Do you think Lotus will include the EVO triangle in their testing?

When I worked on computer magazines we found computers that had special knowledge of the benchmarks we used and dropped into a high speed test mode. I'v also heard of mobile phones that behave differently when they have test SIMs in them to pass the test even if this means wors battery life which isn't approval tested,

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that car manufacturers might be optimising some aspects of handling for the Evo Triangle.

Most of the major manufacturers today seem to be more concerned about how fast their car can get round the 'ring. The 'EVO Triangle hasn't got quiet the same......er ring!!
As for Lotus, I suspect they optimise their cars with the awareness that most of their buyers are fairly well informed.

If you've ever driven around the local roads of Hethel you'll realise that the factory is perfectly placed to optimise spring and damper settings.

Yes, but just as cars are being honed for the 'ring, I could see them being honed for the EVO triangle. Ironically EVO ran something about how using the 'ring wasn't the best thing for everyday cars.

Like most products now its all about brand names over content. The ring is a great brand name giving shed loads of kudos, but the ring is unique, cars that work on the ring are generally only average on other venues and visa versa.
