Elan Se Gearbox Cables

Can anyone confirm which cable has broken, 2 options Gear changecable, “crossgate” or Gear change cable, “shift" can select gears 3 and 4 but cant select 1,2,5 and reverse.

The Part number on the cable (SBLG11992) doesnt match with either at Paul Mattys who also wont confirm unless they see the cable.

I think it must be the Crossgate cable but can anyone help.

I believe they did modify the cables, yours part no is probably the old one


my car had both gear selector cables changed in '00

got part nos. E100F0016F GEARSHIFT CABLE - SHIF
AND E100F0017F GEARSHIFT CABLE - SELE
PLUS A100F6291F CIRCLIP GEARCHANGE

MY car is a march '91
