Engine cuts out as if imobilised tried override no joy.Nothing happens when you turn key as if imobilised,will start after afew minutes but will cut out with no warning. Help.

Loose battery terminal ? (Black -ve in particular)

dodgy MFRU - multi function relay unit - black box at the rear left of engine bay, connects fuel and ingnition circuits with ECU, had mine go with those symptoms...check the connections as if water has got in there it mayb need a good clean etc...sometimes the plug gets corroded...if in doubt just get a new one - £30 from a dealer

Lifeboatman - I replaced the MFRU and had no joy. Mine was the immobilser unit. I ended up bypassing it and have had no cut outs since.
