Lotus servicing: berks/hampshire/surrey

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me please? My beloved S1 11S needs new discs & pads, rear shocks and a couple of bits of cosmetic bodywork and, whilst I'm quite happy with my regular garage, the total cost of the work is pretty steep so I'm hunting around for quotes.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable independent garage locally? I live in Sandhurst, Berks, but am right on the cusp of three counties so Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey are all viable options...

Lakeside Engineering just past Weybridge are a good bet. We used to get our Elan M100 serviced there and we live literally down the road from you.

Thanks Jon. Just got a quote from them and they've suggested using non-lotus specific pads (which apparently most Lotus drivers are very happy with?) which helps dring the cost down and the labour is reasonable so does make for a better total price. Good stuff!

I live near you in Camberley and have used Lakeside for the past 18 months. Max and Tim are both excellent. I would have no problem using them. I've not used Steve Williams but have also heard great things about him also.
