It means its owned and run by Group Lotus, by a small team based inside the factory.

They come across as real enthusiasts (or very good PR people). The club mag. can be a bit heavy on hype, but isn't too bad and seems to be very professionally produced (although clanger'll probably be along for a moan if they publish my piece about the Beaujolais run in the next issue).

Unfortunately, their online forum seems to have been broken since just after the website upgrade and no-one is responding to e-mails.

I meant what they mean when they say 'exclusive and unlimited access to the Factory'. TO me it means nowt and just a load of bullcrap to make club members feel special

Well - I can't think of any other club which could have organised the Hethel birthday party last year - getting all the other clubs together inside the factory (re-arranging production lines etc. etc.). Yes, it was clearly a factory initiative, but the LCI team were very involved in the co-ordination and very helpful to the other club reps.

that's actually quite funny if you know the reality behind it!

There were quite a few with show stands and displays. I don't think any other clubs were actually "involved" though, because of their organising of the Factory day, LEF were asked back in to discuss the "mechanics" of getting there and keeping people busy.

I was having problems getting onto the forum no joy when I e-mailed but I phoned them up and it was sorted. Not sure what your problem is by mine was because I wasn't using a capital as the first letter of the username and password.
