Help - Broken Heater

My heater in my S2 Elise has stopped working. The light still comes on when you press the AC button but the fan doesnt want to play. I checked the fuse which is fine and am now stuck as what to do.
Does anyone know if this is a common fault and if so, what the likely problem is. Ultimately, does anyone know how I can fix it without taking it to Lotus?

Hi, these sorts of questions are best aired in the Elise forum mate, you'll get a much quicker answer.
Very likely that the resistor pack has failed (they all do after a while, due to water ingress - crap design). First get to your local dealer and see if you can get it fixed as a recall - I understand that some can. If not, any of the Lotus independent specialists will be able to get a new one and fix it.
Clam-off job though sadly, which means it'll be around £600 + VAT for the part and labour to sort out.
