The August issue of Car magazine mentions that Lotus will use VVT-i technology from Toyota Celica. That must be in slight error, since the VVTL-i technology matches the 6-speed transmission and bhp 190 goal of Lotus.

The hope here is that Lotus has done or will do the sweet spot tuning just before 5000 rpms which the Toyota 190 engine apparently is in need of doing.
Either way, it should be a fabulous drive given the bhp/cc and low weight, handling approach traditional of Lotus.
