London to Brighton

Elise GT1 to lead Lotuses to the beach!

Lotus club SELOC have been hard at work organising a trip from London to Brighton for Lotus owners. Now they've even managed to get the owner of the only roadgoing Elise GT1 to lead the convoy!

The club is trying to raise in excess of £10,000 for a number of charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital for kids, the RNLI, Cancer Research UK and others.

Starting at Crystal Palace on Saturday 2nd August, over 150 Lotuses will make their way to Brighton. Cars will be leaving from 10:30 onwards having been provided with route maps etc. The destination is Madeira Drive in Brighton where all the cars will line up.

Yokohama have pitched in with sponsorship and you can give further help by taking a look at the online auction at www.seloc.org. Donations for the auction are still being sought.

All Lotus owners are welcome on the run with dozens of Elises already committed. The organisers would are particularly keen to see some more Esprits join in the fun so come on you guys - what excuse do you need for a convoy to the beach?

All Lotus models are welcome in particular Esprits/Europas/Eclats/Elites/Elan/7s as these models are currently outnumbered by the Elises - further info on the event as per the link Ted kindly posted.

Thanks

Pat

REMINDER
This event takes place this Saturday, but it's not too late to register to take part!

Get over to www.seloc.org to register and take part in what promises to be the biggest and best Lotus event this year.

And remember, it's NOT just an Elise thing, ALL models of Lotus are going.
