Lotus windscreen, 8 weeks...!!

My lotus windscreen is cracked to buggery and is currently with Autoglass. They haven't got any S2 windscreens in stock and say it could be 8 weeks before they get one on backorder. Anyone else had this annoyance or any suggestions what I can do about it?

I'm especially annoyed as my first lotus was writen off by someone 6 weeks after owning it. My second was reversed into after having it for just 2 weeks, it then spent 7 weeks in the garage being repaired (again backorder parts) - iv'e had it back a week and now this!! Is it meant to be....?

Claim through your insurance and get Lotus to order it...they will get the windscreeen direct and much quicker.

I got Autowindscreens to fit mine at the Lotus garage, because the front clam has to come of Autoglass will take a whole day fitting it becasue they are less experinced at stripping the clam off!

I got lotus to strip the car...windscreens guys fitted screen @ Lotus, lotus rebuilt the car! Bob your uncle...will cost you £70 pound but doesn't effect your no claims.
