I've just sold my 4.5 Cerbera and my wife wants something a little more two seaterish. She's ruled out chim's griffs etc due to big engines and low mpg's so I'm thinking along the lines of a S2 Elise.

Apologies for not reading thru other threads but -

what sort of mpg should I expect and are they ok for highish mileage.

I do 30K miles a year in mine in all weathers, no probs at all - get around 40mpg at steady 80-90mph on motorway, 30Mpg rest of the time.

Between us we have a 4.5 Cerb & S1 Elise (which is mine!)...

Can vouch for 35+mpg in Elise but both cars could not be more different. I am more than happy to recline into superb luxury of Cerb when being driven, but for shere fun of driving Elise is my car....

For practicallity, due to minimal boot size in Elise increased trips 2 shops/bottle bank will rule out saving on mpgs! (But on the other hand, might save you loads of ££££ on shopping trips....)

Comfort/power vs fun/economy???? Tough call...........

Let us know how you get on!

Thanks for the info.

Boot space could be a stumbling point, but those mpg figures are pretty good compared to 17mpg in the Cerb.
