Pure Lotus?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Pure-Lotus?
They have a lot of series 1s advertised on PH. I'm thinking of buying a series 1, has anybody got experience of dealing with them?
Looks like they are based somewhere near Leeds.

Any advice or info appreciated

I haven't been yet but I too was thinking of paying them a visit with a friend who wants an S1. They seem to be by appointment only and by the pics of the cars I'd say they're based in an industrial estate and it seems from their area code that it's in wetherby. But that's as much as I know so far, was thinking of taking a trip over this friday.

They are on the Thorpe Arch Trading estate just outside Wetherby. I did pop over to have a look after dropping the wife off at work and you can see they have the cars inside the unit. Beyond that I know as much as you.

I got mu elise S1 from there... It's not bad but if I had to do it again, I wouldn't go there...

Their prices are high compare to what the car is worth...

I have heard some tales from a company who were asked to do some work for Pure Lotus - suffice to say that they refused to work down to a price rather than up to a standard...

They have alot of cars but they don't seem to sell many. Same ones advertised week in week out. Also see they have started to sell merchandise, parts etc. Have not dealt with them so can not pass comment on them as a dealer. Only way to find out is get yourself down there and find out for yourself.

Where to start?

I have had many dealings with pure lotus.
I've taken my Esprit there for many things doing to it, and to begin with they were very good.
But things have been going down hill.

They seem to go the long way about doing everything, and always have the car longer than is really necissary... the work does seem to be ok, but they dont seem to be able to solve a small brake judder for me.

I dunno... not really any damning evidence, and i dont like to bad mouth them, as they have been very good to me.... but at the end of the day, i wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

(although they do specialise more in elises so may be better with them)

My brother in law phoned them a few months ago asking if he could go and look at their Elise's as he was interested in getting one.

their response was "well are you going to buy one cos ive gotta open up get them out, i need to know your gonna buy one"

that didnt go down well and my bro in law didnt go and look, but apparently the guy sounded very rude on the phone
