Prices vary waaaaay to much these days as condition is the biggest factor.
I still reckon you need to be looking around the 15-18K mark for a "good" RHD example and going up for the better cars, but i'm sure others will argue different.
But TBH your best bet if looking to buy one is to look at as many cars as you can and then if gives you an idea of whats good and whats bad. Unfortunatley theres a few too many shabby ones about these days

I agree with that too but shabby paint would be the last of my worries - that's probably the cheapest bit to sort out - the fronts of these cars are a bloomin magnet for stone chips and it's impossible to keep em chip free!!!!It the mechanicals I'd want to be A1
Theres a 7k mil one for sale on the trader for 40 grand.
This gave me some leverage in getting mine insured for an agreed value of 27k.
I wouldnt sell it for any less unless I was about to go bankrupt....
