the original Elan (rwd) was a 60's into early 70's design, the later M100 (fwd) Elan was around 89-95 in a couple of production batches.

im guessing it must be the m100 im not too sure as i havent had a chance to check the vin and im new to the older shaped lotus's but it is an a,reg car 1983.
this is why i want some pics posted so i can compare them and double check

M100 Elan, first appeared in 1989 available on a 'G' registration onwards. (Private or cherished registration marks can show the car to be older than it's first reg date, but not younger)

I spent half and hour looking at M100 xxx on newreg, and was surprised at how cheap they are.

All well and good til I realised mine's a H and I cant make it appear newer than it is
