A friend of mine is about to sell his metallic silver Lotus Esprit S3 Turbo, I'm pretty sure its 1982, and hes had it for years and years, but it has to go now as he's selling up, he says hes after £5500, which sounds cheap to me for a car with a full MOT and in good nick; any opinions?
Im going to help him put it on the classifieds on here this weekend.

Buy it, Love it, but most of all drive it, they don't fare well being stood up. I would think 5k is not out of the way.
Electrics were the biggest pain on mine, but sitting insde, well its almost like having your own intergalactic space craft........anyone else know what I mean? paperbag

Im not in a position to buy it; too many toys already, and TBH not really my scene, but he wants me to help him put it on the classifieds here this weekend; I just thought it seemed cheap for an Esprit turbo S3 in such good nick. Will post once its in the classifieds.
Cheers

Yes!

I had the use of one a few years back, sadly only for 2 weeks, but what a car.
Very, very quick (quick as in license losing quick!) and the handling, steering was as good as it gets IMHO.

My Excel is no where near as quick but still a joy to drive but I will have an Esprit turbo one day.
