Decent Lotus specialist in Scotland

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm a man in need of help. I'm taking a jolly old jaunt to Scotland in my little pride and joy (I'm from Ireland) and would like to get the car serviced while I'm over there rather than use the rip off merchants operating here. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of someone who does first class work but doesn't charge crazy prices. I'm willing to travel to any part of Scotland. Maybe even Northern England for proper service.

Hi there,

I think the Murry Motor Company have a Lotus dealership in Edinburgh.

Also Dreadnought in Callander (North West of Stirling) are independant specialists with a great reputation.

There are specialists in the North of Ireland. Quite cheap as well.

Never used Dreadnaught but they do have a good reputation, mainly specialist in TVR/Rover/Caterham but worth giving them a call I'd say, depending on what service you need doing on what engined car etc.

I run an Esprit V8-GT, bought privately 2 years ago. The PO had it maintained at Dreadnought and had nothing but praise for them. It was certainly very well sorted when I bought it, with good history.

I have it serviced at Murray's in Edinburgh and can thoroughly recommend them. They've done a lot of work for me, including major stuff like replacing sheared manifold studs, fitting new turbos, round light conversion etc. Most recently (I got the car back last Friday) they fitted a recon/upgraded gearbox. An excellent job and the car was valeted, washed and polished to perfection, as it is every time I have it serviced. They delivered it home for me FOC.

Main dealer prices of course, but you pay your money, you take your choice....

Simon Chamber's number is 90704040 and Johnny Scott's is 90484267. Both Belfast.
They're both Lotus trained.

Also there is one in Westmeath, I can dig out the details if you need them.

Hey there Aonfocaileile thanks for coming back to me, I'll check them out. If you can will you get me the number of the guy in westmeath too. Are these guys lotus specialists or just high performance car specialists??
