Remember this? i can't but it looks spectacular this wide body Citroën Visa Lotus , yes it uses the Lotus esprit 2174cc L engine and a garet Turbo to get 210 hp for this 1020kg rally car, its a one off, it did not do so well so its stayed a on off, pretty rarebiggrin

There's more ....... Talbot Comps Dept/Lotus project for Group B using Talbot Horizon bodyshell, Sunbeam Lotus front suspension, rear half of Esprit chassis/suspension with dry sump Turbo Esprit engine driving a GT40 ZF transaxle. Stillborn due to parent company Peugeot's 205T16

good finds, never seen bothbiggrin ofcorse I know the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus but not the one with the engine in the back, cool! and that CV car hehe lovelythumbup

here again some pictures of that group b rally car:
Lotus began work on a "silhouette" Horizon, identifying that the development of a similar concept to the Renault's was the way forward. Using the same Lotus slant-four engine, sited behind the front seats, the Horizon Group B was the result, and it has to be said, an exciting looking proposition it looked.

However, only two prototypes were built before PSA canned it. In 1981, Audi exploded onto the rally scene with its Quattro, and immediately, all competing rally teams realised that they would need four wheel drive in order to remain competitive in the future. Peugeot took over the project, and by 1984, it had produced the mid-engined, four wheel drive 205 T16 as a riposte to the Quattro...
Talbot's rallying efforts were banished to history
