Lotus Sponsors Norwich City
Lotus target the footy crowd
Discussion
Quote "Lotus moved to its Hethel Headquarters 37 years ago and in that time we have gratefully received much support from the people here and I see this collaboration as a wonderful opportunity to give something back to Norfolk."
How about better facilities at Snetterton for starters!

Nice of them to decide to give something back to Norfolk after the delay of only 37 years. That just makes them sound daft. Hear Hear regards lotus sponsoring something that they actually have input into, i.e. up and coming young drivers or tarting up Snetterton. How about proton helping norfolk by getting lotus to make some other car models and employing people and leave Colemans/etc to football sponsorship.

Sorry Ted, I didn't wait for your story
Did Chapman really hate football? I'd love that to be true.

Colin Chapman was an honoury member of the Norwich City board at one time. matbe thats why so many Lotus's are yellow and green!!!
being a huge Norwich City fan im more than pleased with the deal, but i do agree with many of the comments that have been posted that it would have been wise to have put the money in to Snetterton instead.
being a Snetterton regular (i live 2 minutes down the road) i find that the facilities are awful. there are no toilets on the outside of Russell chicane where i stand every week, there are bits of metal, wood and glass sticking out of the ground on some of the spectator banks and the comentary box isnt in use so the comentators use race control and cant see all of the circuit. lets hope that when octagon sells the circuit a true motorsport fan buys it and sorts these and many of the other problems out.
