Lotus Enthusiasts educate the masses

I've got some digial pictures if the folks at Pistonhead's site wants some eye candy, drop me an email.
All in all, 19 cars showed up by 9AM. We had a 1955 Lotus Mark 6 all the way to a race ready 2003 Elise. the Esprits were there in force from the supper clean White 1978 (we had 2) to the fly yellow 2002 model.
People came by and asked what dealership supplied the cars. When we said they were all privitely owned (well, except for the Elise) people were amazed. The LEO club was also running the LEO TV booth were Lotus videos owned by the varouis LEO members played all day long.
The 4PM rev off held the croud spellbound as all 19 cars raised the roof. No challange was issued from the nearby Cobra tent.
JimC, our local version of Lotus McGyver ran from car to car with his swiss army knife dispensing wisdom and generally helping. the man is a treasue chest of Lotus knowledge that seesm to span the enntire line of Lotus cars.
The tent was located just outside the Jacob Javits center were the car show was held and a walkway lead through the tent to the show gates. Anyone who wanted to know more was given an escorted personal tour of the cars, whose owners where more than happy to talk about them all day.
A good time was had by all.
