What kind of lotus is it.... if its an elise/exige s2.... head down to your local dealer to try them out for size and see if you enjoy the experience (probably best not to mention that you aren't intending to buy from him).
If its for you (and most people on here were probably sold on their first drive) consider taking a run up north to see the car.
