STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEMS FOR LOTUS ELISE SPORT 160

I have a Lotus Sport 160, one of the original SVA models, infact No. 25 of the 50 produced.
The original silencer is comming to the end of its life with a horribly vibrating detached baffle somewhere inside.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best stainless steel silencer (and the rest) to fit? Should it be a standard one or one of the so called free flow sports models? would these give enough back pressure? One advertisement claims that it is much lighter than the standard silencer, great, Less weight = better performance but if it's at the expense of engine power then not so good. As stainless systems are expensive I want to make the right choice first time......can anyone please help?

I use the car regularly for quite long journeys on business, it's excellently quick, bit of a pain in traffic but once you have the technique of using it in traffic it is tollerable (it has the original ECU).

I'm not too worried about the sound level as long as the performance is not predudiced. Best regards, RICHARD

Have a word with Hangar 111/Eliseparts or Eliseshop - they all do a suitable system
