What price are good XI's selling for these days?

Genuine ones?

It varies wildly, according to specification (Climax or Ford Sidevalve? De-Dion or live axle? 'Le Mans' single seat fairing or 'Clubmans' cockpit?) and race history, but count on a minimum of £35K for a good sidevalve, up to perhaps just short of £100K for a good, race-ready Climax 'Le Mans' with interesting (but not exceptional) history.

Chap I know has a climax engined one (I suspect it may be a Le Mans but not sure). Tells me he paid £400 for it some time in the distant past.....not a bad investment.
