Some of you may remember my original thread on this topic. I was trying to track down my husband's original Elise in order to try and buy it back as a surprise 40th birthday present.

However, having failed on that mission (found the current owner but he's going to keep it till he dies), I have tracked down (and paid for) a pristine R reg Elise in norfolk mustard, 9K on the clock and previously owned by a retentive who used to polish the inside of the exhaust.

So it's sitting in the garage (not mine!) waiting to be delivered with ribbons on.

That's fantastic, I remember the original thread, I've got to show this to my other half to prove I'm not bonkers when the topic of the car pops up
