Just got my first Elise - 2000 S1, 37k, fsh,... really like it although had a few problems, the usual boot cable first week I had it, ok as only need adjusting - had to get a tracker monitor fitted aswell for insurance - bummer! Need a new rear tyre as I manged to pick up a nice bolt somehow on the way to work today! So a few unexpected expenses! Anyone any suggestions about boot leaks? Mine seems to leak like a sieve especially when washing it... also while i'm at it, any shouts about cushions for the seats (customised leather ones?) my cushion I keep in the boot get wet!

There is a pipe connected to the boot channel to take the water away to one of the wheel arches. It's possible this has been dislodged or blocked.

What the man said. Be sure to check both ends as the pipe is short and can be dislodged from the os wheel arch where it debouches.

Think Motobuild used to offer thicker seat squabs, might be worth checking them.

Edit: and of course Hangar 111 can retrim your seats to suit.
