So i've bought a Lotus Elise S2 and dont know if i should track day it?? I would love to try it on a track but am aware i could ruin the car, especially the tyres. Are there any days where you can hire a Lotus for a day on the track , at the circuit??

Also i would like to join a Lotus club but there seem to be a few and i dont know which one to go for, any advice??

Thanks

Andy

SELOC (www.seloc.org/)if you are UK based and down south.

Try a Walshy day....

Bit of instruction and you're less likely to do damage. You can also get insurance for a trackday usually at extra cost from your own insurer.

One of the best about - very helpful so phone for a chat.......

Track is a great way to boost skills and enjoy your car - driver training in this weather will keep you out of the hedge !!

second all of the above. the surry group of seloc is active will loads of meets or pop along to one of the kent meets.

Lotus on track is a non-profit track day company run by lotus owners.

Car Limits - is great. will teach you what do and what not to do regardless of your level of driving experience.

have fun

Do tyres get ruined by driving on the road?
Don't understand this issue, aren't tyres and brakes consumable items?

Don't be afraid, especially on the first trackday you won't even mark them (no more than a road drive)
