How many +2's are left?
Discussion
Hello all,
as a newbie can I ask does anyone know how many Lotus Elan plus twos are still on the road? I believe about 3000 were made but a fair number must have been lost as write off's, exported never to be seen again or 'projects' which will never see the light of day again and have or will be broken for parts. Any ideas, or is there some 'source' who has this information to which I can direct my question. Thanks in anticipation.

Oh Hi again Sparkey. It's good to hear from you again... all four words!
You more than made up for it though when you very kindly did a war and peace reply to me while hunting for a +2. A mass of extremely useful information for which I was very grateful and found very useful indeed. I felt I'd been searching for far too long (actually almost 12 months) and got no-where as all those available seemed to be fairly terminal cases and I didn't think worth travelling to see. I didn't seem to get any the wiser for looking or so it seemed and your input was invaluable when 'the one' turned up unexpectedly out of the blue. I'm now a very happy owner. I owe you a BIG beer if I ever the chance to thank you in in person. If you are anywhere near Devon call in for a pub lunch. Regards

Crikey, interesting interior.
I'm on my seoncd, my first was an S130, same bdy colour as the one above (if that is Bahama Yellow as it appears to be?)
Sold when kid came along, but got another, much earlier '67 +2 But I'm gogin to have to sell as I never use it and the cash is better used on my race car (not a lotus).
Good cars though to drive though. Really delicate.
