I saw a Top Gear show a couple years back. It had a 4 door car - no sure what make - powered by a Lotus Turbo - and it was on of the faster rides of its day - late 60's - 70's (if I remember the show correctly). I do believe that some of these were exported to the USA. I am looking for leads on what this might be, and then will start searcjing for the car itself.
Thanks

Not a 4 door but perhaps you are thinking of one of these?

or was it white witha green flash down the side? In that case its either a pair of dunlop or a Lotus Cortina!

The only thing I can think of is a Lotus Omega/Carlton, but that was 1990s.

If it was a two-door non-turbo it could have been a Lotus Cortina, Twin Cam Escort or (1970s/80s) Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.

Didn't they put an Esprit Turbo engine in to a Talbot Horizon at some stage. I seem to remember seeing a photo in a book years ago.
I'll see if I can dig it out later, if it survived the house moove.

All 2 door suggestions though. You sure you saw a 4 door?

Horizon was a four-door (well, five-door really) but never went into production. The production model was the Sunbeam Lotus, which was only a two/three door.

A concept car? Such as the Etna or Eminence?

Never mind, I enjoyed reading my old books again.
