General buying advice

Hi

I'm considering buying a S1 111s within the next few weeks and dont know a huge amount about what to look for.
I would appreciate any general pointers and prices I can expect to pay.
I come from 7 years of Subaru ownership until the purchase of a Landrover 1 year ago which has lost more money in that time than my past 4 Imprezas together.
Time for a proper car I'm told ;)
Any advice would be appreciated.
