searching eclat/elite S1 or S2, evtl. excel.

hi,

i´m searching any eclat/elite (evtl. excel) in fair condition. must be driveable, interior not rotten, paintwork mustn´t be perfect, accept some crazing, but not bigger cracks.

if your not fussed about a particular model i would go for the excel in preferance as the running gear is more reliable

theres cars for sale on ebay and autotrader but get it checked out by a specialist before you buy it as even if you only spending a couple of grand if you buy a bad one you could end up spending the value of the car twice over getting it working reliably

yes..i know all this....its not my 1st lotus i own...but prefer more elite/eclat instead of excel...the gearbox isnt such a problem...and also automatic´s are interesting!!!

thanx for all the links...but i already have had them stored in "my-ebay"

1.st excel is too expensive (max 3000,-pound)
2.nd one had been advertized already weeks before and i would pay max 1000,-pound
3.rd car, too many problems, max 1000,-pound
4.th car is ok for 2300,- cause of automatic
5.th car is ok for 2500,-, lipstick-color is better for women to drive
6.th car isnt bad but only for 800,-pound
7.th my favourite, max 3000,-pound
8.th-->this car is crap, non-runner, better take for spares: max 150,-pound.


i´ve bought 2 eclats in the last 4 months in the uk. both in perfect condition. the 1st for 2000,-pound. the other for 1300,-!!!

a friend of mine always searches eclat-riviera´s (the rare ones with a full sunroof), he bought several ones in good condition for max 3000,-pound!!!

there isnt a market for eclats or elites, most are in a horrible condition, even when the owners present lots of invoices-->lots of invoices and new spare parts doesnt mean that the cars are good.

sorry to be so curt, but thats the reality!!!

hehe...i owned 2, 1 sold again, bought instead a reliant scimitar gte but i´m addicted into lotus...i need another one, and maybe another one--perhaps!!!
