Hi Guys,

For the first time since I had my Type 23 I put the screen vents on to di-mist the windscreen...only to be invaded by dead flies!!

I did read somewhere to put nylon (tights) material over the vents or the air intake (I can't remember which?) but for the damn life of me I can't get the vent covers off...Ahhhhhhhggggg? (so much for a five min job).

I tried unscrewing the top facia but the vents still apear to be stuck in the wells and there doesn't seem to be an easy or obvious clip to undue?

Is it the vents I need to cover with the tights material or the air intake??...Can anyone shed any light on this please or am I being ultra bloody thick here!!!

Thanks guys.

Regards,

Mac

Hi

Had the same problem on my Lotus-built Opel Speedster (VX220).

You need to put a filter over the INPUT side of the heater/vent under the front bonnet. Access is easier on the Speedster, but I'm sure the basic layout will be the same.

Have a look here for some pics and more info
