Lotus Drivers Club
Discussion
Is anyone a member here? I joined this morning. Some of the organised events look good and I am going to try and do some. I needed an excuse to use my car more so thought this would be a good idea.
I can’t see anything about local meets apart from local reps/ areas. I’m guessing it is more magazine based than internet as I can’t see a forum either.

Hi Paul yes I know about the website I joined it and paid my fee this morning. I don’t do Facebook so was hoping they had forums like this.
Thanks, all the best
James
There is a Discord server, but if you don't do Facebook that won't help There are lots of regional WhatsApp groups, so maybe email/ring the head office to get added to one of those. The best thing is to get along to some of the events which are really good and get some phone numbers of people to stay in contact. They are very approachable bunch with a tent, cup of tea and warm welcome at most events Thanks, all the best
James
I was previously a member for a few years but it came across as a bit cliquey. The forum software/Discord thing I found a little difficult to navigate, too. All added up to not feeling like I was getting value for money, so didn't bother renewing.
The glossy mag is nicely put together, mind.

Likewise, was member for 2 years but wont be re-joining.The glossy mag is nicely put together, mind.
I was put off at the Classic Car show a few years ago. I popped over and said hello and asked what the score was. They asked what I had and I said 'I've got an Elise', the reply was 'Everyone's got an Elise', delivered with some scorn. Odd, given they were touting for members. I'll stick to track days, I think. Single marque clubs tend to be a bit 'funny' in my experience.
This club really isn’t being shown in the best light. What have I done! Haha. I have booked the Weymouth fish and chip run.
My thinking was I have never been to Weymouth and it is supposed to be nice so me and the Mrs will go for the weekend. If we can find a hotel! It seams very busy. We might book somewhere else and drive in.
