Black Tie & Red Lotus
Discussion
As the social event of year approaches, I have been a little worried that the TVR presence will be somewhat overwhelming. Which leads me to question how many of the gathered exotica are liable to bare the name LOTUS?
I realise that this question has been asked previously, but as that was some time ago, I would like an up to date census. Personally, I will be in attendance with my wife, and my 1979 Elite. Hope to see you there.

Funny you should say that, but that's one of the considerations that's swaying us towards taking the TVR. Although the TVR is probably worth 2.5x more than the Elan, it would be just one more Chimaera amongst many and unlikely to be targetted for theft when there are far richer pickings to be had.

On the other hand, having the only Elan in the carpark makes it stand out and hence more nickable.
Just a thought.
It would be some very unlucky theif who stole my Elite from a carpark full of TVR's Not that I don't love my Lotus, its just that it is a lot less expensive and probably not as quick as the TVR's, but as Graham Arnold, head of Club Lotus, said, go steady on the bends, you may meet a TVR coming the other way at speed, and where as the Lotus will always make it round, the TVR will always be out of shape!

Anyway, come on Jon, that can't be a real excuse, it's feeble! I bet some other TivHeads threatened to duff you up if you brought the Lotus, that's what really happened isn't it? Perhaps you should speak to the webmaster about it.
I wouldn't worry, Simon. I'm bringing the Porsche. Although the wife has threatened to bring her Chimaera along so she can disown me if it descends into a bread-roll food fight! You'll have to consider which side you're on when the jelly starts to fly.
Never fear. I can be civilised, so my wife tells me, its just that she's never seen it.
Seriously - it'll be great to see some of Mr Chapman's fine marque present.

Ted, do the Lotie drivers sit together or are we to mingle with the TVR possie for the sake of good harmony between the marques?
or is simply a case of breadrolls at 20 paces? (Obviously the Lotie bread roll will be lightweight handle better and therefore be better able to hit its target)
