I've just bought a Lotus Excel, that's been sat in the previous owner's garden (under a dedicated car cover) for 4 years. It wasn't always that way but the chap's wife became very ill (and subsequently died). He's a lovely bloke. Anyway - car is going to be with me in the next couple of weeks (either using trade plates to drive it to mine - literally a 5 minute journey) or trailering it.....but I've not found a trailer low-enough to use so far.

It's a 1987 2.2 SE in Green (lovely shade although it's suffered...alot). Interior is an awful state at the moment but I think much of it can be brought back to life with some elbow grease and steam cleaning etc etc.

SORRY OP DIDN'T MEAN TO HIJACK YOUR THREAD

Thanks, bought last year off the wife of the deceased owner at the second attempt after the first ebay sale went sour.
60something K miles, needed the interior cleaning, seats recolouring, all the headlining and rails redoing and the oil pressure gauge went awol but was the sender. Recently developed an oil leak as the sump plug decided to unscrew. Otherwise sound in wind & limb. O'S rear wing upper section a slightly different shade of A52. Wasn't told about that in the ad.
