Hi,
Would really appreciate some advice on the value of a 2002 Elise S2 I am interested in buying.
The details I have so far is that the car is in original condition and has covered approx 85000 miles. The MOT is expired and it is currently a non-runner due to an unknown electrical fault. Due to this fault it has been parked up outside uncovered for several months. Because of this the interior is starting to go mouldy with mould growing on the seats, seat belts, steering wheel etc. The brake discs are all rusty and the handbrake has been left on so potentially it has seized brakes? Overall the bodywork looks tidy but the front is peppered with stone chips and some paintwork is beginning to crack in places.
The MOT history is decent apart from recent advisories for both front shock absorbers leaking and an engine oil leak. Any service history is an unknown at this point.
There are probably other issues but before I view what sort of value would you place on this Elise?
Thanks.

The value will depend if it’s the low or higher HP rover engine

Sorry I don't have that info at the moment. What if we assume it's the higher powered version?

Gut feel, based on nothing more, £8k, then maybe £4k to put right, and a bit of margin for the risk/hassle factor.

I think a 2002 S2 will be the basic Rover engine.

It’s probably worth more than seems reasonable.

The way prices are at the moment, I suspect it'll be the wrong side of £10k.
