Lotus elan se turbo
Discussion
Hi after some advice just inherited my mother’s lotus - all original and 29k miles. Houston got it serviced and mot as not moved out of garage for 2 years.
The brakes seem to be locking slightly and pulling to left - although garage said no issue for mot. Any advice on what I should do to improve / replace - I want it ready for classic but local garage not sounding confident to get it done and we’re talking about Astra brakes for front
Thanks
Mark

Nyloc is right. Lotus Elan Central is the place to go.
The weakest part of the braking system are the rear calipers. The sliders tend to stop moving, especially after a period of non-use. A straightforward job, but while you are doing them, you will probably want to replace the seals, which is a bit more difficult.
