Insurance PLEASE HELP!!!

Test drove an Elise today and absolutely loved it. However, as soon as I started phoning round for insurance I realised that no one seems to do insurance for under 25's. I am 24 and only 8 months away! Does anyone have any recommendations of where to look. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got my Elise when I was just 25, so not exactly the same scenario, but I had the same problem with insurance.

I got quoted £6500, and even Flux quoted £2500, and that was on a limited mileage policy.

I am now with a broker called Auto Torque (part of Capital Insurance Services, I think) and my current policy is with AXA. You might want to try them on 0161 611 8634 (ask for Chris). I don't have any complaints with them, and my policy even went down after a major panel splitter a few years ago.

Previous to that I was with Cheam, but I don't have a number.

Until you are 25, what about insuring it with a parent as the main driver and you as a named driver. Just a thought.

I'm 22 and am insured on an S1 Elise for £560 with Norwich Union. Elephant were the cheapest online quote at £800 but I was previously insured with NU, and they said they would probably be the same as elephant, but on renewal it was £560!
I am only a named driver on my dads policy ;-) but would think that a 24/5 year old with 5 years no claims should be able to get a fairly good quote.
Try elephant or Norwich Union... HTH

Hi, Just spotted your plea for insurance! I know I am a bit older - 34!! but I have a 1999 series 1 Elise and I went to confused.com They managed to get me a quote from More Than for £224 fully comp. on my elise. Please don't pass out on the computer when you read this. I could not believe it because I was insured with More Than the year before and my renewal was £445 Apparently they can offer better discounts online. It is exactly the same cover. may be worth a try. Good luck.
