Happy new year all

After a couple of years away from lotus I’m thinking of returning.

I’ve had an s1 and s2 Elise, a 111r, an evora and an evora s. I’m now thinking of either an exige 350 or an evora 400, just as a weekend car.

I’m planning on test driving both in the new year, but what do people think the pros and cons are?

Aside from more practicality of the evora and the more track orientated feel of the exige, any thoughts on reliability/running costs?

Also, based on what’s happened to the value of older elises over the last decade or so, which would hold their value the best do you think?

Many thanks!

Happy New Year

I compared the two recently and I’ve decided to go for the Evora. I want to use it for road trips and the little daily driving that I do so the added usability and comfort (and power steering) was worth it for me. I already have a weekend toy, but if I didn’t I think I would have gone down the Exige / Elise Cup 250 route.

I guess it comes down to what you want, do you want a more focused sports car? Get the Exige. If you want some basic levels of comfort and plan on doing longer journeys then the Evora is probably the one for you.
