What happened to Esprit on Fifth Gear?

Over here in the U.S.A. we do not get Fifth Gear.
(as far as I can tell).
What is the latest news on that 200 MPH Esprit project?

The show isn't airing at the moment. The new series starts (I believe) in the beginning of Autumn/late summer.

That'll give them plenty of time to think up new cliches and sound bites while blaming the marque for their poorly executed modifications

The car was due to atend the last VMAX run at Bruntingthorpe, although it didn't turn up. I think there may have been gearbox issues?
