Lotus specalist recommendations

Hi all, my Esprit v8 is in need of some work as of this morning. I'm pretty sure one of the head gaskets has let go, I know the belts are overdue on time anyway so will be a good opportunity to do those again also. Would like someone who knows the v8's well as I've never been happy with the performance so.wpuld.like an opinion on that. I know it could well be rose tinted glasses but my father had a few back in the early 2000's and they seed more aggressive. I know at some point my car had a sticking Wastegate so could be that issue was never totally rectified.

Anyway any recommendations greatly recieved, I'm midlands based but happy to travel for the right place. Cheers

SJ Sportcars are probably your best bet (not sure if Mattys are 'up to speed' on the V8 but at least worth a call)

They look like a really good setup just the distance with a trailer is the off putter, will be giving Steve Guglielmi a call as he isnt far down the M1 and looks well qualified for what I need.

I realise the v8 Esprit isnt the be all and end all of cars but the few bits I'm unsure on would pass a good mechanic but may well mean more to someone used to driving them. Thanks for the help guys.

Head over to ‘the lotus forums’ there’s a forum dedicated to V8 esprit.

Mike Sekinger (although Germany) is extremely well regarded for V8 rebuilds.

If you do need the head gaskets doing, get them done at a highly respected builder with lotus V8 experience.
