I would like to buy a classic lotus europa and I would appreciate any leads . I would prefer a car requiring some work and not a fully done premium priced one as are often advertised.

I’d suggest talking to the likes of Paul Matty, UK Sportcars, etc and let them know what you’re looking for

I expect you're aware of Richard Winter at Banks Europa near Southport. He's been the Europa guru for many years. Invaluable help when I had my Europa TC. Not sure if he'll be able to help source a car, the Company is now called Lotus Supplies Ltd, run by Dave and Nick. I believe Richard is still involved. Tel 01926 835 296 or google.

Worth speaking to Vince Haydon - he often gets 'project' type cars in

Thanks for the replies.
85Carrera , I thought Paul Matty sells fully done premium priced cars which I did not want.
Nyloc20, I was aware of Banks Europa which I thought was for parts, and their pinboard for classifieds, but not Richard Winter.
Lotobear, never heard of Vince Haydon but he shows a sold twin cam at £34,500 which is in my opinion a premium priced car.
This recently sold fantastic condition twin cam sold for £24,200, so I view this a an up to date benchmark. https://silverstoneauctions.com/events/2020-auctio...

But then again he also sold this which would have probably fitted your brief:

No connection with the guy it's just that he does sell a lot of unrestored classic Lotus cars and many which could be driven as rolling restorations and are priced accordingly

That brown twin cam seems much closer to what I am after. I wonder how long ago that sale was.

Then again I have just noticed this car from that same dealer which is crack pipe price and has been for sale for ages . This is why I have never bought from a dealer.
