Lotus 7 Series 1 Clutch release bearings
Discussion
Hi,
I have a Lotus 7 Series 1 with a clutch issue. The clutch has always been a problem since the rebuild and the problem needs looking at by a specialist. It has got through 3 clutch release bearings, the last one only lasting 100 miles!
I don’t want to disassemble the car - id prefer it if some were able to collect it, but at the very least would just like any advice on any reputable specialists in the Leicestershire area? I know the engine will need to come out.
If anybody has any recommendations...
Any advice/referral massively appreciated!
Thanks

I would speak to Paul Matty in Bromsgrove, not exactly on the doorstep but would definately be able to assist.
Tony Thompson Racing in Melton Mowbray may also be worth a shout or else Spyder Cars in Peterbrough.
The CRB's currently available are known to be of very dubious quality - better with a NOS or good second hand item if you can source one?
Best of luck, I'd love a S1 Seven
