Lotus Exige 240's
Discussion
I had a 240 a few years back and loved it but sold it to get into other cars which i now regret.
Anyhow i remember trying to sell it privately was a real ball ache so i ended up selling it to a dealer as i literally got zero offers and i only had it advertised 1k from the dealer bid.
There seems talk about prices having firmed in recent times but they look to be roughly where i sold my car 5 years back.
Any how what's the REAL and RIGHT price for an S240 with late 20k mileage as opposed to the advertised price privately that sits for ages .......Tks
i'm thinking of buying one and hopefully just keeping it but there is always a chance i end up flogging it in a few years so dont wanna carve up cash by buying the wrong car

I have absolutely no idea what the real and correct price is.
The obvious answer is ''whatever the market will currently sustain '' but that does not even begin to properly answer your very legitimate question .
I have been following the market fairly closely for about 5 months now , because I genuinely like the S2 Elises and Exiges , but I am finding it really difficult to justify what I see as inflated prices on the second hand market .
I am slowly coming to the conclusion that it might actually be wiser , and better long-term value , to stump out the extra for a new S3 version of both these models .
Would be good to hear what others think
