Lotus Seven S4, registered 1964?

i came across an advert of a nice looking S4 (RHD, x/flow engine), where the registration date says 1964. was it possible with S4 models to register it on a donor-plate? most likey not, or am i wrong?

VIN: S4 75927 GT

as the car is not anymore in UK it might be that the reg-date has been altered (false documents) to get it registered in the new country?

Not a valid S4 ID mark - check out the S4 thread on caterham forum, plenty of really knowledgeable guys on there.

oops....my mistake in the vin, it should read S4 72957 GT
